Go Commando
This is actually a pretty great toy and perfect for outdoor nighttime adventures. I got this for my nephew and he absolutely loves them. I used the older version of the JAKKS Night Vision Goggles and those worked really well so when I saw these come out I thought hey why not. The fact that these are binoculars and not monocular make it so much easier for him to use and the neck strap allows him to just let them hang when he is not using them. This is much safer then having the googles strapped to your head. The quality is really good too. I was really impressed with this product and recommend it to any parent.

Great improvement over Eyeclops 1
I bought the original Eyeclops Night Vision goggles. They are enjoyable just for the technology. If you have these or read the reviews of the original product you will see the pros and cons of the Eyeclops 1.After reading the reviews of the Eyeclops V2 and for the price I paid for them I couldn't resist the temptation to buy them. I'm glad I did.The V2 uses the same technology as the original, but has a large view screen that can be seen with both eyes. Even though there is still no depth perception due to the 2-dimensional screen you have a larger field of vision. This eliminates the dizzying disorientation experienced with the original. You still have to be careful moving around, though, because of the depth perception issue.The V2 has all the same features of the original except this unit is hand-held like binoculars instead of the head gear that came with the original. Great Night Vision Toy!
I was pleasantly surprised by this toy. While I wouldn't want to have to rely on these on any real battlefield, these work great for any imaginary scenario. These goggles are much cooler than any toy that I had as a kid, and every kid should have one to play with. While the resolution is poor, the distance is actually quite good. Very Impressive For a Toy!
This is really a pretty impressive piece of equipment for the price and target audience. It's basically what you would get with a night vision camcorder (such as the Discovery Kids model) crammed into a set of cheap plastic binoculars- minus the recording part, of course. Another similar device would be a night-vision-enabled baby video monitor, minus the wireless link.In any case, what this consists of are two IR (infrared - so invisible to the naked eye) LED flashlights, an IR-sensitive digital camera sensor, and a tiny low-resolution (but full color!) screen.The screen is "split" via mirrors to create the "binocular" view. The IR CCD picks up the reflected IR light (and visible light, if present), and voila- you can see in the dark.Some important notes that are not immediately obvious: - These are telescopic binoculars. A great non-toy toy.
This is a very inexpensive night vision kid's toy, but it uses real-work 1st generation technology. I would put it on par with any of the entry-level night vision products.I had no problem seeing well at 50-60 feet out (indoors) without the boosted IR. Using the regular IR setting, there is no signature for anyone to pick up. Using the high power setting, there is a faint red light visible from the unit, so everyone that looks your way knows you're there. Outside? Range narrows since there aren't reflective walls and shadows to define things.Since this has active IR illumination, anyone else will see your IR light very brightly. Don't believe me? Look in the mirror (briefly) as you have the goggles on. It will appear as though you are shining a flashlight at yourself even though you're in pitch black darkness.We've found this unit very useful for looking at big and little night critters. Super Toy
This is all I expected in a toy and more. Great for checking out the night life in the woods surrounding our house. It needs 4 AA batteries, so if you purchase this be sure to have some on hand. Reminds me of the earliest night vision goggles used by the Army. Great for kids and kids at heart!

As the product details and other reviews state, this toy actually has REAL nightvision technology! And considering most low-end NV solutions start at around $500, the $80 pricetag is fantastic. However, the product isn't perfect. Most notably, despite its outward design, the goggles are NOT binocular. The single camera feeds to a monocular lens on the right eye. The are being sold as a toy, and I'm not so sure this is a toy. Anybody who has seen the movie has probably wondered where somebody would get goggles like the kind used in one of the final scenes of that movie. With the EyeClops Night Vision goggles, your child can explore dark environments with advanced infrared technology. Set-up is easy. Simply insert five AA batteries into the battery pack at the back of the head-set, and slide the power switch to turn on the goggles. Fun but wildly impractical
I think my title is a pretty good description: fun but wildly impractical! But I saw night vision goggles for this price and thought that this is a toy I can't do without.It's actually really, exceedingly cool provided you do not attempt to use them to navigate. For example, go get a toilet paper roll. Close your left eye. Hold the roll up to your right eye and start walking around. This is identical to the experience you will have with these goggles: VERY narrow field of vision in one eye.That said, they do what they say and the construction seems pretty rugged and kid-friendly. You'll need a phillips head screwdriver to get the batteries in and out. The whole thing is basically made of rubber it looks like it could survive a bit of rough handling. If you look at the picture of the item, the big thing in the middle is the camera, surrounded by some high powered infra-red LEDs. Those can be switched on or off. This is a set of toy night-vision binoculars. They use a small infrared light to illuminate the room so that you can see through them in the dark. These work remarkably well for what they are - a fairly inexpensive toy. Real night vision goggles cost thousands of dollars, so keep that in mind - you aren't getting navy seal equipment here. The plastic casing is solid, but isn't going to withstand a ton of a abuse. They also aren't completely stealth, when you are using them, you can see the red infrared light. I would recommend this toy for ages 8 and up - it is fairly heavy and looking directly into the light in the front could damage a small child's eyes.The binoculars take 4 AA batteries. They have a daylight mode, which just shows you what things look like normally - so you can compare your night vision to day vision. For the price this is what you get
the low beam of this is so powerful with the IR LED red lights sightly shown and with the high beam u can literally see the red lights emitting out and is really bright that even my camera could only capture a really bright lights...the downside of this nvg was that it didn't have a color change of the view instead it has a day view which I find it really useless because is just showing you what you can see with your naked eyes.Still to compensate that view,what you get is a really powerful lights emitting from it even with the low beam,maybe due to it was still new with fresh batteries but even with the low beam I could see really clearly in my dark room.....It looks durable with the hard plastic but still you will have to be careful with it and well is a pretty cool piece of toy...The pros-powerful lights even with a low beam-durable for a toy well seem to be able to take some beating-looks like the eye of transformer shockwave,I love this design of the...
