I bought these curtains for my daughter's room because she is extremely sensitive to the light and wakes up as soon as the sun starts to rise. After purchasing them, I was wandering through Target and suffered serious buyers remorse when I saw "blackout curtains" for half the price! Well, I bought those, intending to return these as soon as they arrived. Boy, was I disappointed when the Target "blackout" curtains barely blocked half the light! When these arrived, we promptly removed our Target curtains, placing them in the playroom instead (where she has sleepovers) and installed these. The room went black - just like in the hotels! The curtains hang nicely and although they are not quite the color pictured, they work well in her room. It's summer now, school has let out,...

Great Curtains
These are everything promised- they block light from coming in. The fabric is soft, not at all stiff. Also, the customer service is good; I got them shipped to me very quickly. I got the orange curtains the the color closely matches what you see pictured here.I noticed the pictures show different hanging styles. (Some show rings while others show a rod pocket.) The ones I got have hidden tabs- which is really the easiest style for hanging.All in all I am satisfied with the purchase!

The curtains arrived in the mail yesterday and they are beautiful! The fabric is soft and smooth and drapes beautifully, the grommets at the top add a stylish touch, and this morning when the sun came up no light peeked through at all! Wish I'd gottent these sooner!
Bought these in our last bedroom still missing much-needed blackout curtains and WOW. Wish I'd gotten them sooner! Our previous ones were custom size from JC Penney, but those were a bit ugly, very stiff, and only blocked out 50-60% of light. These were easily 1/3 the price, are a lot more drapey and attractive, and block out most of the light! We're getting additional sets to replace our pricier (but inferior) existing curtains. GREAT product at an amazingly cheap price!

I have purchased (and returned) at least 3 other curtains to various retailers that have advertised them to be "black-out" curtains. These are the real deal! The curtains truly block out the light very well. They are 100% polyester and the blue is a deep navy. They hang very well, the wrinkles are slowly disappearing and they have a silky feel. They even come with tiebacks! I highly recommend them, especially if you work the night shift or just like it dark for a good nap!Just a follow up - we just got back from Vegas (May 2010) and our room darkening curtains in the hotel were not as DARK as the ones in our home bedroom! Still lovin' this purchase.

Great Look, adequate function
We live in the southeast and our house has four sliding doors with a southwesterly exposure. The sun is intolerable during the summer. I tried bamboo shades but they offered little privacy and even less protection from the heat and sun. I bought these curtains in navy(matched our decor)which did shield the sun and some of the heat but at the hottest part of the day it seemed that the curtains were attracting the heat due to the dark color. The heat would build up between the glass and the curtains and then begin to seep into the room through osmosis. I really liked the look, feel and hang of the curtains so I purchased more in beige to hang behind the navy. I just threaded the beige through the same rod as the navy and rehung them. The large grommets make them so easy to hang. The light beige (almost cream) acts as a liner and also reflects the sun. The double panels have reduced the heat coming through the sliders by at least 70% and completely blocks the light. My central AC is now...

Nice sheers but the color is more of a fusia/magenta/red-violet color.
Alex's Mom reviewing again: Great inexpensive sheers, but the color isn't the purple depicted in the picture. It's more pinkish purple than the purple in the pic, and upon looking up online colors (the html colors) fusia/magenta/red-violet are the closest color names that I could find that resemble the actual color I received. The color of these sheers is definately not a lavender purple! Other than that the sheers are cute and are fully hemmed with no unfinished edges.
